Robert C. Mizar

Robert “Bob” Mizar is a trial lawyer with extensive experience in defending automobile dealerships in consumer and class-action claims based upon the Consumer Legal Remedies Act (CLRA), Song-Beverly and Magnuson-Moss Warranty Acts, and the Automobile Sales Finance Act in state and federal court and arbitration forums. In addition to automobile dealerships, Mr. Mizar’s clients also include businesses, common carriers, and automobile rental agencies.

Mr. Mizar received his Juris Doctorate in 1999 from the University of La Verne College of Law where he earned American Jurisprudence awards for excellence in Constitutional Law, Corporations, Criminal Procedure and Employment Law. Prior to attending law school, he was self-employed in the commercial printing industry, As a result of his unique and extensive experience, Bob particularly enjoys working with businesses to evaluate and assess operational risks and to create strategies to mitigate these risks.

Mr. Mizar strives to thoroughly evaluate liability at the onset of the claims process, and to advise clients regarding potential exposure and damages that may arise from an adverse judgment. By placing emphasis on the critical elements of a claim from the beginning, Mr Mizar has found that he can significantly reduce valuable time and expense for the benefit of his clients.

Accomplishments

Mr. Mizar regularly represents automobile dealerships in trial and arbitration forums for consumer claims, contract disputes, and personal injury actions. Many of these actions are filed under statutes containing attorneys-fee shifting provisions by many of the most aggressive and demanding plaintiff-firms. Mr. Mizar recognizes and understands the tactics necessary to protect dealerships from the high cost of litigation.
